Production: The most important goal as a producer is to create a positive and comfortable environment for artists to work in. I figure out what the artist’s vision is for a song, then I make decisions about how to enhance elements that support it and cut away elements that don’t.

Engineering: A crucial part of any record is the tonal palette. Some elements need to be captured exactly as they happen in a live situation. Other elements need a more “studio” sound. Between the equipment that I have ready access to and my experience using it, I can get the right sound.

Composition: I split my time between more traditional songs, electronic, minimalist classical, and art music. I am very interested in writing music that ends up synced to video projects and short films.
